The Memphis Grizzlies were close to their first win. Then Shaedon Sharpe swatted the game-winner away.

With the Grizzlies and Portland Trail Blazers tied at 102 at the end of regulation, Memphis sharpshooter Luke Kennard got open in the corner. While Sharpe was in the paint when the pass was made, he somehow reached the corner in time to block the career 43.4 percent three-point shooter and send the game to overtime.
That wasn’t the end of the heroics from Sharpe, who hit two clutch free throws to tie the game at 102 before his big block. First, he drove to the hoop to give Portland a four-point lead.

Then Sharpe hit a three-pointer to give the Blazers a lead they’d never relinquish.

Sharpe scored seven of his 22 points in the extra period as Portland held on for their third straight win, 115-113. The 20-year-old is averaging 20.2 points in his second season as the rebuilding Blazers went to 3-3.
Meanwhile, Memphis fell to 0-6, in part due to another rough night of outside shooting, going 10-for-35 from deep. And when they had their biggest three-point chance of the game, Sharpe was there to snuff it out.
