The Green Bay Packers trailed the San Francisco 49ers, 7-6, at halftime of the divisional round playoffs, but the deficit could've been more.
With 10 ticks left in the opening half, the Packers denied the 49ers points at the break when defensive lineman Colby Wooden blocked a 48-yard field goal attempt by Jake Moody.

Considering the circumstances, the standout special teams play may prove vital for the Packers.
Green Bay dominated at times and easily could've walked into the half with the lead. However, they recorded only six points in three red zone attempts, including a fourth-down gamble from the San Francisco 14-yard line that didn't go their way.
Luckily, aside from allowing a 32-yard touchdown by George Kittle from quarterback Brock Purdy, the Packers' defense has held firm, keeping the game close.
However, in the second half, the Packers will have to take advantage of the opportunities in front of them if they hope to earn a spot in the NFC title game.
