Roma striker Tammy Abraham admits he wasn’t ready to replace Romelu Lukaku in the first half against Milan yesterday: ‘I had to quickly get ready and get myself mentally ready.’
Abraham was introduced as a substitute in the first half of Roma’s 2-1 win over Milan last night replacing the injured Romelu Lukaku.
The Englishman has recently returned to action following a severe knee injury suffered in June 2023 and wasn’t ready to go on the pitch so early against the Rossoneri.
“It was difficult because I wasn’t ready at the time. I had to quickly get ready and get myself mentally ready,” Abraham told Roma’s official TV.
“I tried to help the team as much as possible and I feel like I did a good job, but I can always do better.”
Roma will face Bayer Leverkusen in the semi-finals, and Abraham predicted a “good game” adding that he and his teammates “fear nobody.”
